Danny gained a lot of weight at one point in his relationship. When he gains weight, it collects above his waist: in his stomach, chest, and face. His wife, Lilly, summed up the resulting proportions with “You look like a frog.” That comparison became the starting point for the story he later told on stream.

Viewers changed their usernames to frog-related names such as Kermit Wave and Kermie Wave, added frog emojis beside their names, and filled chat with “ribbit” and frog puns.
